Personal reflection on artistic representation

Ramayana mural painting

This is a popular mural painting in Thailand. This painting located in the emerald Buddha temple (Wat Phra Keaw) founded by King Rama1 in 18th century. This art shows Ramayana story that have178 rooms to present. The reason that I like this mural painting is incredible. This is huge painting, beautiful painting, fill full painting and a lot of sense of humor. The main color that the artist used is red, black and gold. They used gold color for the part that important likes part of King, palace and leading actor. You have to spend time to see details of painting. And some people found something very fun in painting.
In the part of troops, some soldier running back to his wife for grab some lunch. Some guy peeking at a couple that being have sex. Some soldier having sex during the war. Even some soldier smoking while him was attack by another side.

The most of all they show me the sense of humor in the past and real situation in community. Nothing is all white or black, but it is grey. I like the picture that shows one monkey (soldier) smoking while he battle in the war. That means don't be serious even in hard situation. You have to make yourself happy. Word count 213

Hello everyone and welcome to the first episode of “Cooking is easy by Jeabfy”. I’m your host, Jeabfy. “Cooking is easy” is a podcast that inspire you to cook even you don’t know how. Before, I came to the USA. I was a normal woman who loves to eat. I like Thai food, Japanese food, Korean food, Chinese food and Italian food.

                At that time I never cook by myself, I just help my aunt to prepare ingredient likes cut vegetable, clean meat and buy some herb. Since I come to the USA and my friend told me that if I like to eat you have to be good cooker because I had experience with taste and I can make it. I start cook 3 years ago. Now I can make food more than 50 menus in variety type of food. My food is not complicate but full of taste. I grow with the country that has variety taste in one dish. Thai food can be sweet, spicy, salt, bitter and sour in one dish. Thailand is a country that rich in ingredients. We have jasmine rice, fresh vegetable and fresh fruit. Most of all can be ingredients in Thai food.

My personal I like Thai food the best but second one that I really love is Japanese food. In my country Japanese food is expensive. I like fresh fish. They called sashimi, I like Tuna, salmon, and yellowtail. The first Japanese dish that I was cook is Tonkatsu over rice. I made this dish to offering to my family that passes away on Chinese New Year long time ago. And this is a perfect time to cook this menu again.

Today I will be teaching you how to make “Tonkatsu curry”. Tonkatsu is bread deep fried pork cutlet. This menu is very popular Japanese dish. It is easy and yummy. I recommend you guy to buy sauce mix for curry.  It saves time and tasty. You can choose level of spicy mild, medium or hot. First step to make curry, you have to boil water and add sauce in to the pot, stir often until the sauce melt and add vegetables that you need like carrot potato or celery.

The next one is making Tonkatsu. I recommend you to buy pork loin; this part is tender and moisture. Cut pork in size you want (not to thick it hard to cook them). Pre pare the large bowl with whipped egg and put Panko in another bowl. Panko is bread crumbs that bigger flake. It makes your Tonkatsu crispy when you deep fried.  Dipped the cutlet pork with tempura powder and put in egg mixture and dredge in panko. You have to heat the oil in a wok until the oil get 350F. Drop the pork into the oil, fried until outside come to gold color. Use chopstick to flip or press the meat. Do not use high heat. Bring it up on tissue towel to absorb the oil. You can cut the meat to check that is cook.

When you serve this dish put a scoop of Japanese rice (short grain). Put curry onside and put Tonkatsu on topped the rice. You can check the picture with recipes in my blog or our website. Art: Victoria style (Vimanmek mansion)

My teacher gave me an assignment about art. In personal I really don't care when people talking. But one thing that I interesting is architect. The place that I like is Vimanmek mansion, The world's largest golden teak wood mansion. My HM King Chulalongkorn(RAMA V) used his personal money to purchase orchards and buit Vimanmek Mansion in 1900s.

The Vimanmek mansion is located at in the middle of capital city(Bangkok) in Thailand. I went to this place couple times in my life. The building made from golden teak wood in elaborate architeachral style reflecting a western influence. This place is so so gorgeous!!! I like furniture, interior design, decorate and history of this place. Recommend to people who like elaborate architectural style and Victoria 

Survival school

 

Survival school. 

This location is perfect for students that like to survival in everyday life. Our planet contains water more than 70%. And right now the earth have global warming problem. People will be live on the island in the next 10-20 years. This place is an island located on the gulf of Thailand. Take boat 4 hours from the mainland. Population is about 1,400.

The courses will get students to know how to survival without water (mostly they drink water from fresh coconut and make natural container to keep water when it rain). We will teach you how to get the food from the natural, how to make fire from natural, how to build habitat or raft and students have to take examination from the school. We will let the students survive by themselves for 7 days 7 nights. If students have any emergency problem they can do emergency fire work to let the crew help them out. Our school got certificate from national survival. If you done our courses we guarantee that you can survive on the island.

             I wish there were cold all year. I am from Thailand. My country is always warm. I like the way we were wearing. I like a lot of layers. When the weather is cold you can wear legging with short skirt, t- shirt with nice cardigan and scarf. I always wear short and t-shirt when summer. It is bored. But I don't like when the weather is too cold. That way you have to wear like you are a mummy.

                Second wish for the country, I wish they were good economic. Right now, economy in the USA is going down. People try to save money. A lot of businesses were shut down. It is like simple thing if people are no money. How come they will spend money?

                Third wish I wish we were have more natural resource and more educate. Natural resource is very important for human, but more than 70% of people in USA. They don’t know how to reduce, reuse and recycle. They know only how to consume.
